Students

Whether part of your classroom curriculum or a complement to your studies, the BioHazards modules are an entertaining way to develop an intuitive grasp of the core concepts of molecular biology. Some concepts include protein evolution, the central dogma, DNA replication and repair, basic genetics, the adaptive immune system, cancer, virology, and broad topics in human health. These video games and animations will help you earn better grades in your biology classes and are a great activity for students considering a career in science or medicine. All BioHazards modules are completely free!

Parents

Electronic media, such as animations and video games, are becoming increasingly important tools in the classroom. These approaches can provide an immediate application to your child’s education, transforming seemingly complex material into manageable and easy-to-understand lessons. We recommend parents try out these free modules with their children, of any age, to understand what your teenagers are learning in school or to give younger children a head start!

Teachers

The BioHazards modules are developed directly in collaboration with educators and public school administrators, with the intent of addressing national requirements for high school biology. At each stage of the development process, we also take our video games directly to afterschool programs and get direct feedback from student study groups. These efforts result in modules that are both stimulating and useful for students, and an excellent complement to your lesson plans. Some of the concepts covered in the BioHazards modules include protein evolution, the central dogma, DNA replication and repair, basic genetics, the adaptive immune system, cancer, virology, and broad topics in human health. All BioHazards lessons are supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and are completely free!

Administrators

The BioHazards modules were developed directly with public schools and university outreach programs to ensure they addressed standardized requirements for high school-level biology curriculum. These modules will better equip teachers to convey the material and increase the student’s ability to grasp the material. All BioHazards animations and video games are supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and are completely free to you and your schools teachers.
